Hassina Persaud here. I’m married to a wonderful man with two girls and one son, Matthew, who has the distinction of being the youngest ‘co-host’ on 98.1 FM.
Matthew, (whom I love to life) is now ten yrs old, and has been on air with me since he was five. For one hour and forty-five minutes from 1.00 pm, every Saturday we play modern kids praise songs, stories, tell jokes, bible stories, make crafts, recipes and crazy science.
This is not a job, it’s pure fun...for all of us. My mother introduced me to radio at a tender age, listening to Trans World Radio and ‘Portia Faces Life.’
I don’t like housework, pumpkin, snakes, and pigeon peas worms. Eewww! I love the mission field. Guyana is my next stop...(well at least by the time you read this I would have already gone) ‘smile’.
I read everything in sight. My favourite secular book is the dictionary. My favourite place is the library and my family are my closest friends.
Travelling the world is my thing and have visited all of the Americas and Caribbean, even cruised several times but yet to go East. What’s my greatest desire? To see Israel. My husband Leslie Persaud a child friendly pediatriacian, also pastors Faith Centre Port of Spain and we do everything together.
When not looking at HGTV and History Channel I relax on Sunday evenings at the movies with my darling husband and son.

I had a true knowledge of Jesus, my Saviour, when I was 28 yrs old. It was a 180 degree turn from which I will never digress or deviate.
